DroidMAC WIP01 - available for download :)

Howdy,

You can [finally] download a works in progress version of DroidMac from here.
Zip contains an apk file (to be installed on your Android device), droidmac.prefs (to be put on /sdcard/) and readme file (TO BE READ and i mean it :)).

You still need to have a Mac ROM (don't ask me, find some old mac, or buy it from a friend, etc.) and a Mac disk image (i.e. hfv file). You can use this one - pretty handy, comes with basic tools. Installation/configuration notes are in the zip file.

Kudos go to Macintoshgarden.org, MyApple.pl, Emaculation.com, Pelya (for SDL), BasiliskII team (ofcoz) and last but not least Darek Mihocka (from emulators.com, you know why!).

Comments are very welcome. Enjoy!

  1. G'day
I can't seem to get this to run on my Galaxy Tab.
I installed the application, ROM and HVF file on to the external SD card, but the screen just fades in and out. Where have I gone wrong? What should I do?
    Thanks

  3. pndo1 - have you tried to start it first in portrait (default) mode? It is still works in progress, so does not autoorientate. If you want to start it in landscape mode - you need to change it in settings :(. Also it will keep the orientation, once started. Orientation change can be set in options/settings, and then restart. Yep, this is a limitation, i know....

  4. Look forward to WIP part 2. Any chance of it happening soon? Also listing config file options that work? Thank you for developing this.
For the network it might just be better to use the router function and forget trying to develop network drivers. Also for sound check out gemrb it uses SDL and the sound works.
